The all-new M-Class has plenty of the old model's design language, so you can instantly recognize what it is. But under the longer, lower, wider, and subtly modernized sheetmetal is an all-new unibody platform. Mercedes will continue to build the M-Class in Tuscaloosa, Alabama sister city to Schorndorf, birthplace of Gottlieb Daimler , and it'll share its new chassis architecture with the R-Class crossover and seven-passenger G-Class replacement of the venerable Gelandewagen.
These models will share no body panels other than front doors and the windshield. The M-Class will be offered as a five-seater only and launches with the excellent four-valve 3. Nearly everything else is changed or revised. Forums New posts Search forums. Media New media New comments Search media. What's new New posts New media New media comments Latest activity. I've been lent what I thought would be my dream car as a "loaner" a BMW X5 - and I've realised that the ML gives me pretty much everything I want in a big 7 seat 4x4 towcar So I've decided that I might get another ML, and having looked at the market I realise there isn't a lot out there that would meet my needs. I want a big 7 seat 4x4 that will tow kg or very close to. I would like something that doesn't drive like a tank or tractor, and I would like decent performance and economy.
The Mercedes-Benz GLE features more dramatic hood creases and a few noticeable changes in the front fascia, but the notable C-Pillar and wraparound rear glass remain present in the new model. Where the ML features a completely integrated display, the GLE features a screen that is partially integrated into the center console.
With the top peaking over the dash, it becomes the striking centerpiece of the interior. The movement of the screen allows for more space in the center console, making controls more intuitively located and the overall layout more modern. Estimate your payments.
